Dennis Miller

Teacher and Self-Advocate

Dennis Miller is a lifelong resident of Kirksville. He was born blind and is also a bilateral cochlear implant recipient. Dennis is a 1992 graduate of Truman State University. He is currently employed as a social studies teacher at Northeast Christian High School.

 

Assistive technology is a major part of Dennis’ daily life and assists him in living a full and independent life. He is a strong advocate for universal access to assistive technology.

 

Dennis currently serves on the SB40 board, the Board of Directors of the National Federation Of The Blind Of Missouri, and as a member of the Lifeline board.

 

In his spare time he enjoys sports, reading, music, and learning about the latest technology.
